Evren Yantaç, is a researcher and lecturer in the interactive media design field. While leading the educational issues of the “interactive media design” department of Yildiz Technical University for the last 5 years, he has been teaching information design, presentation design and project courses focusing on case studies in interface design. Working with Prof. Dr. Oguzhan Özcan, he focused on techniques for triggering the creativity of interaction design students. They have a book, a book chapter and several citation indexed journal articles on the subject.
His following research concentrations has been on interface design for disabling environment, information visualization in interactive media, interaction design for autistics, interface design for augmented reality. PhD research, “interface design criteria of tactical sailing navigation systems using augmented reality technology”, was funded by the Turkish Research Foundation (TÜBİTAK). And now he started a post-doc research on “interactive mirror wall using Augmented Reality, for dealing with the communication malfunctions of autistics” in Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.
Furthermore, Evren Yantaç has been involved in many art and design projects, workshops, and actively continues racing and sailing.
